About Feather
Feather is a gorgeous sable Dutch Shepherd puppy. He is friendly and affectionate with people and has shown us just how thankful he is to have a second chance at life. While at the shelter, Feather did well when a dog -to-dog interaction evaluation was conducted with another his size (**Please keep in mind that dogs that pass the evaluation process does not necessarily mean they will get along with every single dog. Dogs and their evaluations are based on the chemistry that they have with the particular dog they are with.) As he settles into life at the Ranch and gets comfortable with his new routine, we’ll work on finding him a compatible playmate. Please stay tuned as we get to know Feather better and watch his story unfold. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsr.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at info@coastalk9gsr.org or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application: https://www.coastalk9gsr.org/applications. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
