Howdy, I'm Cowboy, a 54-pound Border Collie mix with a gentle heart and a thoughtful personality. I can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new people, but if you give me a little time and some slow, kind introductions, I warm up quickly and show my sweet side. Once I feel safe, I absolutely melt for butt scratches and soaking up affection - being loved on is one of my favorite things! I'm also a big foodie and take treats very politely, which makes learning new things extra fun for me. I really enjoy exploring the outdoors, taking in all the sights and smells while staying close to my favorite person. After I've settled in and built some confidence, my playful side comes bursting out - think play bows, happy zoomies, and a spunky streak that will make you smile every day. Being a smart Border Collie mix, I thrive when my mind is busy, so I'll do best with plenty of enrichment, training, and activities that challenge me mentally as well as physically. Hiking, long walks, and outdoor adventures sound like my perfect lifestyle, especially if I get to share them with my human.
