Meet Marley Marley is an 8-year-old Terrier / Pit Bull mix weighing about 60 lbs with a laid-back personality and a heart full of love. This sweet senior girl is all about the simple things: being close to her people, enjoying a good meal, and taking life at a slower, more relaxed pace. Marley is low energy, walks nicely on leash, and loves to follow her humans from room to room, just happy to be near you. She thrives on human connection and soaks up all the attention she can get. Right now, we're still learning about how Marley does with other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in the home while we continue to understand her needs. But Marley's story also represents something bigger. Dogs labeled as "pit bull" types are some of the most commonly misunderstood and judged dogs in rescue. Because of stigma and misconceptions, they are often overlooked, stay in shelters longer, and are passed by simply because of their breed label - not their behavior.
