MEET JOEY! Joey is about 2 years old. He is a red heeler, possibly a mix. Joey is UTD on vaccines and is already neutered. About Joey.. Joey had 2 weeks of professional training. He knows sit, stay, place, heel, come, leave it, drop it and lay down. I’m not saying he will always listen to his commands, but he knows them. He will most always listen if he knows you have a treat, though. 😉 Joey can be very dog selective. He gets along with NON-dominant dogs, and dogs that can keep up with his energy. He would probably love to have a sibling to play with, however he would also be a great only dog. Joey is completely potty trained and crate trained. I do not crate him though, and he is a total gentleman when left out unattended. He is also very good in the car! If you are a good home for him, you will honestly be getting an amazing dog! Joeys quirks… Joey is dog selective Joey likes cats, but plays too rough with them when he is excited Joey is still learning not to jump on people Joey has that “heeler nip” so small children are not recommended We have been working on Joeys quirks and he has been getting better and better, aside from being dog selective. We say “off” when he jumps on us, and “no bite” when he does his nips. He is not nipping to be mean, it’s a heeler trait as they are herding dogs. He does this when he is excited and/or playing. If you do have cats, I would just recommend that you don’t leave Joey unattended with them, just to be safe. Joey is with tinypawssmalldogrescue.org and is being fostered with me.
