About Summer

Hi, I’m Summer. I’m five years old, which I think is the perfect age—old enough to know all the good napping spots, but still young enough to get excited about every single walk. Three years ago, I got adopted. That was the best day of my life. Before that, things were a little confusing and lonely, but then they came—my person. I didn’t know it right away, but I think we chose each other. Since then, we’ve done everything together. Morning routines, quiet afternoons, snacks (my favorite part), and evenings where I curl up close just to make sure they’re still there. I’ve learned their footsteps, their voice, even the way they sigh when they’re tired. I always try to be nearby—just in case they need me. That’s kind of my job. Lately, things feel different. There are boxes, and new people, and a lot of talking in gentle voices. I hear words I don’t really understand, but I do understand feelings. My person smells a little worried. A little sad. So I stay extra close. I heard something about a place where they’re going to live now. Somewhere called “assisted living.” I don’t know what that means exactly, but I know it might mean we won’t be together the same way we always have been. That part makes my heart feel funny. But here’s what I do know: I was loved. Really, really loved. For three whole years, I had a home, a routine, and a person who chose me. And every day, I chose them right back. If I could say one thing, it would be this: Thank you for finding me. Thank you for every walk, every treat, every soft place to land. I’ll carry your scent, your voice, and your love with me—wherever I go next. Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs. Our fosters are available to answer your questions and will give you all the details you need to know about our dogs such as if they are shy, are they outgoing, what is their energy level, are they couch potatoes, love bugs, kissers, lickers, so please do apply and ask our fosters questions - this will ensure you find your pur-fect match in our rescue! ***IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING OR ADOPTING SUMMER, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT WWW.MANYPAWSGLOBALRESCUE.ORG***
