Kouper is a sweet young pup who has settled in well with us and is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can build confidence at his own pace. He can be a bit head-shy and prefers when people let him choose when to say hello, but once he feels comfortable, his gentle nature shines through. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys here, but as a young dog, he may just be waiting for the right environment to feel playful. He did great with his food test and simply appreciates having space while he eats. With other dogs, Kouper can be curious but unsure, so we recommend a meet-and-greet for families with resident dogs. With time, kindness, and continued socialization, Kouper has all the potential to grow into a wonderful, loyal companion. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
