About Carl
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Carl is a one-and-a-half-year-old Norwegian Elkhound mix (he's 50% Elkhound according to his previous owner) who is still very much a youngster, just starting to discover the world and searching for his perfect companion. While he can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, that shyness melts away quickly—within minutes, Carl is accepting treats, leaning in, and enjoying all the snuggles he can get. With just a bit of patience and kindness, you'll see his affectionate side blossom, and once he trusts you, he offers an endless supply of love and cuddles. Carl bonds quickly and deeply, finding true happiness right by your side. In his last home, Carl had a tough encounter with another dog that left him uncertain around other pups, so he'd feel most comfortable as the only dog in the household. He's seeking a calm, loving environment where he can build his confidence and be someone’s loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a close companion who will devote himself entirely to you, Carl could be the perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
