He is dog friendly with a passive play style, happiest coexisting alongside other dogs rather than engaging in rough play. In fact, having another small, low-energy dog in the home would be a huge benefit to him, helping him continue to build confidence at his own pace. He is not fully potty trained yet but is picking up on pad training very quickly, showing just how smart and willing he is to learn. Slinky can spend time in a crate, where he may whine a bit at first, but he is able to settle and can hold his potty for a few hours. With consistency and patience, he will continue to make great progress. Slinky can be a bit skittish, especially with loud noises or fast movements, so a home without very young children would be ideal. He thrives in a calm, patient environment where he’s given the time and space to come out of his shell. Once he feels safe, his true personality shines—he absolutely loves being close to his people, soaking up cuddles, pets, and quiet companionship. With a medium energy level, Slinky enjoys a nice balance of relaxing and being near his humans. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will allow him to grow into the loving, loyal companion he’s meant to be.
