Specifically looking for a Foster-to-Adopt Home Serious Inquiries Only. Fudge is a sweet, affectionate one year old lab mix that bonds quickly, and his biggest wish in life is to feel loved and safe. For him, the world can feel like a scary place, but he’s been making wonderful progress in his foster home with slow, positive introductions to new people and places. We would love to find a foster-to-adopt home where he can continue building confidence and won’t have to be moved again. Stability and routine are key to helping him thrive.  The Ideal Home: 🏡 Adult, low-activity home   🐕 A friendly, playful resident dog he can “buddy up” with   🌳Large fenced yard for play and fetch   🚪Dog door a plus (he already knows how to use one)   Ideal Adopter: • Patient, calm, and loving    • Willing to follow established routines with introductions to new people and places • Experience with shy or fearful dogs • Someone home most of the time   • Not planning to travel frequently with him  (he currently gets carsick when anxious) What We Love About Fudge: 🏠Housebroken  🚪Uses a dog door 🐕Dog friendly and loves other friendly dogs 👧Kids unknown, though he has gotten used to neighborhood children playing nearby 🐱Cats Unknown 🎾Loves to play fetch - Doesn’t get into things in the house (though he may counter surf if food is left within reach -Bonds quickly with slow introductions -Once bonded he becomes a very affectionate, cuddly “velcro dog”   -Pretty chill for a young dog after he gets his exercise or playtime -Sleeps through the night   -No resource guarding -Very food motivated, which makes training easier   He is learning great manners and already knows several cues including sit, down, wait, off, and free, and he has good recall. He walks fairly well on leash and continues to improve with guidance. Once Fudge bonds, there is nowhere he’d rather be than right next to his person.
