Contact Gillian 916-397-1210 We were able to pull Hunter from the shelter on Friday, but his current foster can only keep him for a few more days. He’s settling in beautifully and is an absolute sweetheart. Hunter is about 1½ years old, possibly a Lab/GSP mix, and weighs 64 lbs (a little skinny right now). Despite being young, he’s fairly mellow and loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you or resting his head on your lap for pets. He’d happily stay there for hours.   ​He is still learning basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, wait, heel). He is well-behaved in the house — not destructive and no resource guarding. He will counter surf if given the chance. He loves walks and is learning leash manners (a prong collar is recommended due to strength and prey drive). Hunter is a very loving dog who just needs a place to land while he recovers and continues learning about life in a home.  Hunter has been neutered and is recovering so we are offering him as a Foster-to-Adopt while he recovers and then his adoption can be made final! He’s a gem!
