At just 33lbs, this gal is a typical BC! She is affectionate and friendly with her family and loves kids. Oakley is an active pup that loves to play - she's great at fetch and loves a herding ball. She's great with other dogs (and lives with 4), but tends to go into herding mode (stalking, nose booping, etc.) when there are more than 2-3 dogs around, so would not be a good candidate for a dog park or doggy daycare. Her BC instincts are activated by smaller critters as well - she doesn't hurt or nip cats or chickens at all, but she does HERD them, so would probably do better (and be less stimulated/fixated) by a home without them. Oakley is housetrained, leash trained and is working on her crate training. Oakley would be an awesome active companion for a border collie-experienced/loving home! She would be a great candidate for someone that may want to get into amateur dog sports for fun, but doesn't need a sports home to be fulfilled as long as she's getting lots of attention and play! Oakley is being fostered in Gasden, AL (about an hour from Birmingham, AL and 2 hours from Atlanta, GA).
