About Fifi

Your new best friend is just one click away. Fifi is a petite 4-year-old, 8-pound Chihuahua/Terrier spayed female with a chocolate brown coat, ready to find her forever home. She is currently available through a foster-to-adopt program, offering potential adopters the opportunity to welcome her into their home before making a lifelong commitment. Fifi’s easygoing nature and lower energy levels make her an ideal first-time companion—her breed and age combo suggest a low challenge for a new adopter, especially someone with dog care experience through fostering or dog sitting. She enjoys a few short walks each day to keep her healthy and stimulated but is content to relax indoors. While she is probably potty trained, it's normal for adults to need a week or so to fully settle into a new environment, and gentle routines will help. Fifi gets along with other dogs and has also shown positive signs with cats and children, particularly respectful kids eight and up, and always with appropriate supervision. Her health is excellent, and she's been fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, thanks to the dedicated rescue efforts that brought her from areas with limited resources to the northeast. Please note that Fifi, like all the rescue’s dogs, is currently living in a foster home rather than at the organization’s office. Start your journey together! Apply now.
