About Sky

Sky is a two-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever and Border Collie mix built for speed, fun, and cuddles. He loves nothing more than a good run—morning jogs, hikes, or extended games of fetch are right up his alley. After he’s burned some energy, he’s equally happy to relax by your feet while you unwind. He knows sit and stay already and continues to surprise everyone with just how quickly he learns. A fenced yard is on his wish list—he lives for a chance to zoom around and feel the wind in his fur. Sky lost his home due to his previous owner’s tough economic situation, but he came through with a cheerful spirit. He went through professional training and still has access to that support, making it easier for his future person to keep up his progress. He walks well on leash, loves to please, and is motivated by treats and affection. Sky enjoys playtime with some dogs but can be selective, so he’d prefer being the only dog in the home. He’s developed into a kissy, affectionate companion who bonds hard with his person, especially when given structure and purpose. Sky weighs about 55 lbs, is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative with prevention already started. He’s looking for adopters who can give him an active life and follow through with boundary-setting to keep him thriving. This guy will bring real energy and loyalty to the right home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
