About Felix

Felix is available as a foster-to-adopt. This 2.5-year-old male Miniature Pinscher came into the rescue after being found as a stray. Felix is friendly and enjoys meeting new people and generally gets along with other dogs. However, he has resource guarding tendencies and benefits greatly from a confident, consistent handler who can keep up with crate training and reinforce boundaries. As long as food and toys stay in his crate and he isn’t allowed up on the couch, Felix does well. Felix was adopted earlier this year, adjusted nicely with his adopter, but became anxious and reactive after a stressful move, which led to him being returned. Since arriving back at PAWS, his resource guarding has been minimal, and he enjoys walks and playtime with volunteers. Ideally, Felix should be the only pet in a single-person home to avoid potential guarding issues over people or possessions. Felix is microchipped, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He’s looking for a supportive, patient adopter who understands his quirks and wants to help him continue to thrive. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
