About Silly Dobby!
Silly Dobby! is a young pitbull mix who has never truly had a place to call home. After spending his early life at Castaic Animal Shelter, he watched countless other dogs leave while he waited for his turn. Though he briefly found hope with a foster, then boarded for a year, stability has always slipped through his paws. Now he's facing another move—and the risk of returning to boarding—if he can't find a committed foster or adopter soon. Despite all the uncertainty, Silly Dobby! remains upbeat, affectionate, and eager to connect. He loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and embodies the happiness of a loyal, playful friend. He's fully crate and house trained, outgrown his puppy destructiveness, and walks comfortably on leash. With the help of professional trainers, he’s developed a strong training foundation. What Dobby craves most is a steady place to finally settle, share his wagging tail, and curl up beside someone who picks him for good. He’s ready for evening snuggles on the couch, fun walks, and a daily routine filled with simple joy. The rescue is willing to drive him up to 12 hours roundtrip to the right home, underscoring the urgency of finding him that stability he’s never known. Maybe that home is yours.
