About Misty
Misty is an inspirational survivor! Seeking an easy dog? Misty is your girl! - Misty survived being shot with a BB gun multiple times, survived cancer, survived a two-month-long severe case of pneumonia at the shelter (saved by DaisyLu Ranch Senior Dog Sanctuary in Camarillo, CA) - Despite the challenges she has faced, including ongoing osteoarthritis, 10-year-old Misty remains a sweet and gentle soul - Friendly with everyone - Loves being close to her people – likes following you around the house - Bonds quickly and deeply - Happy, loyal, faithful best friend - Enjoys giving and receiving affection - Takes treats gently - Loves car ride adventures - Good with other dogs – has been happily living with her Foster Mama and her two gentle, small dogs (Foster Mom will be traveling long-term, out-of-state, related to family soon – that’s why Misty needs a new foster or an adopter) - Calm, relaxed doggie housemate(s) are a fit to match her energy - Would also thrive as an only dog, loving your full attention - No children living in the home because she has arthritis & we wouldn’t want children to hurt her unintentionally - Ideal foster/adopter would be retired/work from home/at home for companionship - 45-pound (medium-sized dog) Pittie/Staffie, mixed breed - No walks needed, has osteoarthritis, access to a yard or small outdoor area is sufficient - Spayed, current on vaccinations, crate trained - Potty trained & sleeps through the night All expenses, including medical/medication, are covered by the rescue when fostering.
