Can be aggressive when eating, doesn't like leashes or cars. He has bitten a person: Me when I first got them. {Did not break skin, surrenderer stated she was feeding all 3 dogs together and they all got possessive and when he went to grab the food Nala and Fazo nipped him}. They are calm towards cats, and their demeanor depends with strangers. Their reactions towards dogs depend on the actions of the dog. MEDICAL: Per exam on 3/5: "EXAM BCS: 2.5/9 - QAR (quiet, alert, responsive), nervous but friendly - Moderate scabbing superficial dermatitis on ventrum and inguina bilaterally and mild interdigital erythema of all paws - Bilat intact male ASSESSMENT -Poor BCS/emaciation: r/o caloric deficit, parasites, endocrinopathy, neoplasia, infectious, other -Superficial dermatitis -Eosinophilia/basophilia: suspect 2' to allergies/dermatitis -Mild ALT elevation PLAN Diagnostics: -IH CBC/chem/lytes: HCT 30%, Eos 2.39 (H), Baso 0.15 (H), ALT 176 (H), TP 8.7 (H), Glon 5.5 (H), rest NSF" Due to Fazo's emaciated body condition on 3/5, he was placed on a refeeding plan. Per intake exam on 3/5: "Weight: 49.8 lbs BCS: 2 - Very Thin Assessment - Male intact - Red rash in groin area - BAR, very bonded with sister, allowed handling for blood work and vax" BEHAVIORAL: Per staff on 3/8: "Resource test: Brought into the eval room and put his lunch down. He ate fast, however I was able to touch from his side up to his head/neck area while eating. I had my foot near the bowl and hand close to it. No reaction to me touching him or having either my foot/hand near the bowl" Per staff on 3/8: "Kennel Presentation: In the back of the crate with wide eyes, ears to the side and sitting in the corner. When I approached the front He came out the front with ears to the side, soft eyes and mid sweeping tail. Leash Skills: Easy to leash and came right out of kennel. Zig zags on leash, will randomly stop in front of you. Sociability: Allowed all handling, leaned in and solicited for more. Will jump up and paw at you. Ears to the side, mid tail slowly wagging with soft eyes. (Could not give treats he's on a refeeding plan) He kept going over it the fence line and looking out. I would call him over and he would come and sit down between my legs leaning into me. Play: No interest in the toys. Dog Interaction: Saw a few dogs at a distance, no reaction towards them and continued to walk. Return to Kennel: Went right into the kennel and took of leash with hand.
