She loves food puzzles for enrichment, her stuffies, and a good game of tug, and she enjoys spending time bonding with her people. Melody’s story began in Texas, where she was found abandoned in a rural area, left to fend for herself before being rescued. Despite that difficult start, Melody has shown incredible resilience and continues to blossom with patience, structure, and love. Melody has been living in a busy city environment, which can be overwhelming for some dogs. Because of this, we believe Melody would thrive in a quieter home with a yard where she has space to relax and play. She’s a strong, athletic girl who enjoys movement and enrichment, and having room to stretch her legs will help her truly shine. Melody is currently working with training, and she is a very smart dog who enjoys learning and engaging with her people. She forms strong bonds with her humans and loves being part of the daily routine. She gets along well with other dogs her size, and would do best with larger dog companions rather than small dogs, simply because of her strength and playful style.
