Sweetest boy ever alert!! Gus is a special and super sweet guy! He is 8-9 years old and weighs 72 pounds. He was a stray to the shelter, and we pulled him out to find his very best life! He is the very best combination of fun guy outside (he loves his walks and hikes) and lazy, snuggly couch potato inside. Gus has Cushings disease that is well managed with medication. Cushings causes the body to create more cortisol which makes you hungry and thirsty. Of course, on top of that, he’s a lab, so he loves to eat! He will need to be fed separately from other dogs because he tries to eat everything in sight, including other dogs’ food. He’s not aggressive at all about it. He just wants their food, too. He gets along with all sizes of dogs but doesn’t really play with them. He’s great with kids and cats. He’s a pretty chill guy and just wants to be near his person. He absolutely LOVES sleeping in bed right next to his human. He is crate trained (should be crated when you can’t watch what he’s getting into) and potty trained.
