Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Dapper Beagle ready to brighten up your dayKERMIT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Kermit Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix Best Guess for Age: 7 years as of 03/19/2026 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 27 lbs. Gets Along With: other dogs. We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: the shelter, Kermit needs a foster and a forever home. Kermit is Looking For: someone who wants a dog with quiet charm rather than flash. He’s past the whirlwind puppy stage, settled into himself, and carries that gentle, thoughtful presence Beagles are known for. His big, expressive eyes seem to ask for a soft place to land, and once he trusts you, he offers a steady companionship that will warm your heart. He still has that classic Beagle curiosity—his nose leads the way on walks, and every scent is a story he wants to read. But he’s not in a rush. His pace is unhurried, his tail wagging in an easy rhythm as he explores the world. Afterward, he’s perfectly content to curl up beside you, happy just to be part of the quiet moments. He’s social in that warm, understated Beagle way: friendly, polite, and happiest when he’s included. Kermit’s mature enough to appreciate routine, gentle handling, and a calm home where he can feel secure. He thrives with people who enjoy a slower, more intentional kind of companionship—someone who sees the beauty in a dog who doesn’t demand attention but blossoms when he’s given it. Kermit’s the sort of dog who quietly becomes your shadow, your walking buddy, your soft‑eared confidant. Give him a safe home and a kind heart, and he’ll bring you loyalty, warmth, and joy.
