About Leota

Leota came from Mexico with her mom and two other sisters. They were all raised together out in the open without a lot of human interaction. Sadly this has lead to them being very shy and reserved, but still friendly and curious. The mom of this litter is only about 15lbs and looks a lot like a Wheaton Terrier with wiry hair, but all of the girls have smooth and short coats, so its hard to say what they are mixed with! At this point we think they are about 6 months old and they are only about 10lbs, so we don't anticipate them to get much bigger. Despite being out in the wild they have not presented with any parasites/fleas/ticks but have been treated and vetted regardless. As far as potty training goes, it is a work in progress as these girls have lived outdoors for most of their life. We cannot guarantee that they will be potty trained when they go into a new home. Leota really loves her foster brother laborador, Leo (hence the name) and might do well in a home with another dog, however this is not required. Despite being in the same foster home for 3 weeks she is still quite shy and timid with people and her rambunctious foster brother who is a husky, so she will most likely need a lot of time in a new home to warm up. We think that it would be good for her to go into her forever home sooner than later while she is still young. She and her sisters have been around both children (ages 8 & 12) as well as a cat and have done fine despite some barking at the cat (no chasing). If interested in meeting Leota please text 303-253-0807. Once an adoption has been formalized Leota will receive her spay surgery and microchip, then will be ready to go home after that has been completed!
