About Rue

Rue is a stunning calico with a heart of gold. Rescued from a homeless person's tent during a brutal January storm, she’s made a remarkable transition into a loving foster home. Quickly becoming a favorite, Rue delights in being held, enjoys cuddling, and shares her space happily with other cats. Now that she has a warm bed and a full tummy, she radiates gratitude and joy. At 2.5 years old, Rue tested positive for FIV, but there’s no need for concern. With proper care and nutrition, FIV-positive cats like her can live long, healthy lives. Transmission to other cats is rare, usually requiring a deep bite wound, so Rue can thrive alongside FIV-negative felines in a harmonious home.
