Tater Tot is a 5-year-old, large, short-haired pit mix living in Wooster, OH. He’s got a loyal, endearing way about him and, yes, he’s just as charming as his namesake snack. Walks with Tater Tot are a breeze—he behaves beautifully on leash and already knows how to sit, especially when treats are involved. Once Tater Tot warms up to you, he turns out to be an intensely affectionate “lovebug” who prefers to stay as close as possible; personal space is not in his vocabulary. His initial shyness melts away quickly around people he trusts, and he greets you with contagious excitement every time you walk through the door. Toys don’t interest him much, but people always do. Medical-wise, Tater Tot has arthritis, and while his past is largely a mystery, pain medication helps him feel more comfortable, though he’s still a bit off balance at times. He’ll thrive in a patient, understanding home prepared to give him some extra TLC as he figures out what makes him feel his best.
