IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Tiger, 2 years old, neutered male, Shepherd mix, 55 pounds. He is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport to an adopter once approved. Please note our process starts with an application. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Meet Tiger — the Happy-Go-Lucky, Kid-Loving, Zoomie King! Tiger is the sweetest mix of high-energy fun and gentle affection. This happy boy LOVES to play with other dogs and gets the zoomies at lightning speed. He’s especially gentle with smaller pups and great at reading when another dog is done playing—he may try to keep the fun going, but he settles down quickly. On walks, Tiger pulls at first because he’s excited to say hi to other pups, but he redirects well and calms down quickly. He hasn't been tested with cats. A Gentle Protector With Kids Tiger currently lives with toddlers, young kids, teens, and adults—and he is loving, gentle, patient, and protective with all of them. He’s truly a family-oriented dog who thrives in a home full of people to love. House Manners & Crate Life He is housebroken. He’ll go to the door or bark to let you know he needs a potty break. He’s excellent in a crate and even chooses to nap in it on his own—it’s his safe place. He’s been crated for up to 8 hours with the door open, and he can be trusted unsupervised; he usually just naps. He eats separately from other dogs simply out of routine, not necessity. Tiger shows no food guarding and is happy to share toys and bones. Personality & Play Style Tiger is ALL the things: independent, outgoing, curious, serious, playful, smart, silly, and affectionate. He loves plush toys, enjoys hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and proudly offers his paw to everyone he meets. He has a high jump, puppy-dog eyes that melt hearts, and endless love to give. He has high energy but also enjoys snuggling and relaxing. He adapts beautifully to both active and calm homes. Other Notes Tiger gets car sick, so his future family should be prepared for that on rides. Tiger is the total package—a sweet, goofy, energetic, family-oriented dog who loves deeply and brings joy everywhere he goes. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who thrives in a home with kids and enjoys canine friends (especially the ladies!), Tiger is your guy. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
