This sweet girl weighs 47 pounds and is currently being fostered in San Antonio, Texas. Don’t worry if you’re not nearby—our rescue can arrange transport out of state once she’s matched with an approved adopter. Kai is the definition of joyful. She greets the world with enthusiasm, eager to make friends with dogs of all sizes and people of all ages. Dog-friendly and always ready to play, Kai loves to run, chase, and show off her happy zooms, often with a little playful bark of excitement. She also enjoys playing with toys and will happily keep herself entertained with them when she’s not busy running around with her doggy friends. Her enthusiastic spirit makes her the perfect buddy for an active household, and once she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to flop down for pets, belly rubs, and snuggles. This girl is just as wonderful at home as she is at play. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, though she may pull slightly on the leash when she sees another dog—only because she’s excited to say hello and make a new friend. Kai has also done beautifully with children and thrives on the affection and attention she receives from them. She has no issues with stairs and rides like a champ in the car, making her a versatile companion wherever life takes you. Kai can be left out unattended in her foster home, though we always recommend crating any new dog until they’ve had time to acclimate to a new environment. The only thing that can ruffle her happy-go-lucky nature is loud noises or storms, which can make her a little nervous, but with love and reassurance she settles well. With her playful spirit, affectionate nature, and eager heart, Kai is ready to be the perfect addition to a loving family.
