Cookie’s dad passed away and he is looking for a home. He is almost 4 years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines, about 70 pounds. Cookie has only had exposure to a couple other dogs. He isn't really sure how to play with them. He has never been around a cat. He grew up with elderly people and has only had limited time with a child under 10. Cookie is a sweet pup who deserves to be in a home where someone wants to play with him. He has been going outside to play on the fenced yard in the snow this winter and is having a great time. He loves to fetch a tennis ball in the living room. He just needs some consistency and attention. Cookie is house trained. He has never been on a leash except for going to the vet or groomer. I have tried to teach him to sit down for a treat, but it he hasn't mastered it yet. He is very nervous about going to the vet, but does fine at the groomer. In October, Cookie’s owner had a violent outburst and had to be subdued by his caregiver. Cookie bit the caregiver trying to defend the owner. Since that day, the caregiver has been with Cookie, and he never showed any aggression. Seems just like he is protective of his owner. This is a great opportunity for rescuing a wonderful dog!
