About Sami

Sami is a 9-year-old senior Pit Bull Terrier in urgent need of a long-term foster that may become permanent for the right person. Her current life is in limbo: Sami’s mom is in extended care and, though she would love to be reunited, that day looks farther away each week. While her care is covered, Sami needs a reliable, loving household where she can land until things change, whenever that may be. Sami is all about the couch, and it’s non-negotiable—her happiest days are spent stretched out on her favorite spot. Walks don’t interest her much, and she prefers short trips outside just to handle her business before heading in to relax. A backyard kiddie pool for splashing is a bonus. She’s extremely loving, drawn to people, and soaks up attention and cuddle time. Sami absolutely needs to be the only pet in the home; she doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats. She must also stay indoors. If your home has room, especially a couch, and you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion, Sami is ready to move in. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Sami

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pit Bull Terriers like Sami do best as family companions in stable homes where they can form strong bonds with their people. An indoor home with access to soft spots and routine is ideal.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Pit Bulls tend to appreciate a secure yard or outdoor area for bathroom breaks, but many are content with limited outdoor time—Sami especially prefers to simply go outside for her business and quickly return indoors.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Pit Bull Terriers can be very loving with children when properly supervised and socialized, but Sami’s home should be pet-free, and a quieter environment may be best for her senior needs.
