Zack is a cute one-year old male Hound mix who was picked up on Congleton Ridge Road in the Wingett Run, Ohio area by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who brought him to HSOV on February 28, 2026. Zack was accompanied by his nearly identical twin (Cody) who is surely his brother. Neither Zack nor Zack were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Zack has a brown short-haired coat with a narrow vertical patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and a sweet face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, black shading on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. Zack weighs 43 lbs. These boys are nearly identical twins except for the shading/markings on their muzzles. Zack has a friendly disposition. He and Cody were a bit shy when they entered our shelter being in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs nearby, but they quickly learned that our HSOV kennel techs are their new best friends who love them unconditionally. These photos of Zack were taken on the afternoon of March 8th when HSOV Kennel Tech Avah Day was preparing to take Zack and Cody for an off-site outing and a car ride, and the paparazzi asked if she might take a few photos before they embarked on their adventure. Neither Zack nor Cody appear to have had the luxury of learning to walk on a leash, but they are intelligent boys who will quickly master that new skill with a little help from our HSOV Kennel Techs and Volunteers. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Zack was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Since he was not reclaimed, Zack is technically available for adoption. Zack will be neutered before an adoption can be officially finalized, but he could be fostered while he awaits his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
