Shirley and Laverne are a cute pair of 3-month old female Hound mix sisters who were brought to the HSOV on February 20, 2026. These young girls were found at Lafayette Plaza (Pike Street in Marietta Ohio) in the vicinity of the WeLovPets store with no apparent owner. Shirley has a white short-haired coat with brown spotting, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and extra-large brown floppy ears which frame her adorable face. Shirley weighed 14.3 lbs when she entered our shelter. Laverne has a brown short-haired coat with white markings on her chest/paws, a long tail, and an adorable brown face with hopeful innocent brown eyes, a black button nose, a splash of white on her muzzle, and extra-large floppy ears which frame her beautiful face. Laverne weighed 13.1 lbs when she entered our shelter. Shirley and Laverne are the bestest of friends. These girls dearly love each other and seem to be inseparable. They are playful, lovable, and are extremely amusing. Shirley and Laverne entertain each other and everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting them. We loved the photo in the lower right-hand corner of their collage which was taken while they were performing one of their best vocal duos together. And we must say they harmonize like promising up-coming stars on the country western scene. Watch for these pups when they will surely be featured on an episode of "America's Got Talent: Puppy Edition" (smile). Since they were not reclaimed, we will have Shirley and Laverne spayed and find them a fabulous home either together or separately. They could be fostered-to-adopt while they await their spay procedures with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
