** In order to adopt a an un-altered kitty from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitty and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their neuter surgery. You may need to bring the kitty back for vaccines and exams prior to their neuter surgery** Meet the good boy known as, Elwood. This all around wonderful guy was found as a stray kitty, and taken care of by a nice person until we had room for him at the shelter. Elwood has an estimated birthdate of 3/5/22, so he's about 4 years old. Sweet Elwood is a total social butterfly and lights up with love and attention. This boy is an all-around lovebug who adores the attention of people. He loves to be held and cuddled and has the loudest purr motor ever! He never says no to pets and scratches, and he's a fan of catnip and canned food. Elwood has definitely come to enjoy the finer things in life since coming to the shelter and he has decided that the inside life is the life for him. He seems to like other kitties, and would likely do well in a home with other cats, but slow and proper introductions would be must! He would also likely be just fine as a solo kitty soaking up all of the love. He is all love, all the time and is just the sweetest boy. He hasn't met any dogs since being at the shelter, but we suspect that he would likely be fine with a gentle, cat-friendly dog.
