About Baxter
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Say hello to Baxter, a sweet and affectionate 2.5-year-old, 55-lb pit mix with a love for cuddling and spending quality time with his people. Baxter is housebroken, crate trained, and absolutely adores car rides—there’s nothing he enjoys more than feeling the breeze with the windows down. Baxter is dog friendly and has a playful, friendly disposition with other dogs, even though he hasn’t been a full-time companion to one in the past. However, he is not cat friendly and has a strong prey drive, so his ideal home will be cat-free. Baxter thrives in calm, adult-only environments where the routine is predictable and peaceful, as busy households and lots of excitement can make him feel uneasy. This silly, toy-loving boy was returned for some resource guarding, but there's a wonderful trainer on staff who will support his adopter with a smooth transition and ongoing guidance. With patience and experienced training, Baxter is sure to blossom into a devoted and loving companion. If you are looking for a loyal, snuggly friend who will reward you with endless affection, Baxter is eager to meet you! Did you know his birthday makes him a Pisces? That means he’s extra loving and intuitive! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
