Hi, I'm Baxter! I'm a 2.5-year-old, 55-lb pit mix and a total cuddle bug who loves being close to my people. I'm housebroken, crate trained, and I adore car rides-there's nothing better than cruising along with the windows down. I'm dog friendly and have shown playful, friendly behavior with other dogs, even though I haven't lived with one full-time. I'm not cat friendly and I do have a strong prey drive (squirrels, birds, and ducks are very exciting!), so I'll need a cat-free home. I'm looking for a calm, adult-only home where I can truly relax and feel my best. Busy environments and the energy that comes with kids can be a bit stressful for me, and I thrive most when things are predictable and peaceful. I'm a silly, toy-loving guy who was returned due to some resource guarding. The great news is there's a trainer on staff who will work directly with my adopter to help support a smooth transition and continued training.
