About Gus
Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I'd love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in LIFT University. This is a program for dogs to build confidence in new situations and work on managing energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I'm a lovable, silly boy once I warm up! Cuddles are my favorite. - I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter! - I already know some basic commands! - New people and things make me a little nervous. Let’s take things slow! - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I need a home without other dogs - I prefer having your attention all to myself! - No apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! I can be nervous around new people, and I like to use my voice. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - If you have kids in the home between 6 and 9 years old, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. - For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
