This super sweet and social girl came to rescue alongside her fur-sibling, Chica, after their owner sadly lost her home. Despite the change in her world, Meekah has remained a happy, loving companion who is ready to start her next chapter with a family to call her own. Meekah is a playful and affectionate little dog who absolutely enjoys attention. She does well with other dogs that like the occasional play session but are also respectful of her personal space when she decides she's done playing. She has shown no negative feelings toward cats, making her a potential fit for a feline-friendly household. Because of her tiny 7-pound size, Meekah would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children or an adult-only household. She can often be underfoot, so she'll need a home with someone who is steady and mindful of her petite presence. In her previous home, Meekah used potty pads, but she has since been learning a routine that includes going outside in a secure, physically fenced yard, which will be required for her new home. She absolutely loves soaking up the sunshine, though she will politely decline outdoor adventures during rainstorms or bad weather. Meekah is crate trained, food motivated, and happiest when she can be close to her people — preferably curled up in your lap. She thrives on companionship and will make a wonderful little shadow for someone looking for a loyal, loving friend.
