Estimated Birthdate: March 10, 2025 Poppy was found near the 94 expressway ramp, and thankfully, we reached her in time. When we found her, she still had an old, dirty leash wrapped tightly around her neck, wandering dangerously close to the road. She is underweight weighing only 27 pounds. With proper nutrition and care, she should recover beautifully. Poppy is a sweet girl and gentle girl. She’s toy-motivated (she loves the squeaky ones!) and dog-social. She's also loving, curious, and bonds quickly. Unknown how she is with cats. Children 7 yrs old and older. Her forever home is required to have a totally enclosed physically fenced yard. Poppy is up to date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative and crate trained. She will be spayed in the near future. Poopy would love a forever family who will love her her, cherish her and show her how fun it is to be part of a wonderful family. All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same-day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year to attend 1 obedience class (6-week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI, to adopt one of our dogs. No out-of-state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Poppy’s adoption fee is $300.
