About Otis

Meet Otis! Otis is a 3-year-old Lab/Golden/Pyrenees mix who runs on pure, exuberant energy. Every morning starts with a full-body tail wag and a sense of optimism that’s almost infectious. He’s athletic, bold, and has the kind of personality that fills a room. Otis is sweet, eager to please, and willing to learn, but he’s still working out the basics when it comes to playing with other dogs. Right now, he doesn’t quite grasp boundaries and tends to play rough. Because of this, Otis would do best with a confident, tolerant dog who can show him proper play manners. Despite his intensity, he’s never aggressive—there’s just a lot of enthusiasm bursting out of one big dog. He does well with cats, showing interest and restraint, and never overwhelming them. For kids, he’s best with dog-savvy, sturdy children who can handle a big and sometimes mouthy pup. Otis needs a secure, fenced yard—he’ll run, bark, and celebrate life at full volume, so apartment living isn’t the right fit. His ideal adopter will be active, patient, and devoted to training; Otis will absolutely blossom with structure and a job to do. Agility, hiking, or advanced obedience could be perfect for this happy, goofy guy. If you’re looking for laughter, loyalty, and high-octane affection, Otis will keep you on your toes—and smiling.
