Meet Fred! Fred was originally brought into a shelter in Philadelphia after being surrendered by his previous family due to concerns about his health. The previous owner admitted that they had bred their 10-year-old dog who gave birth to three puppies. One of which was born deformed and died in their care, and the other two puppies which they intended to keep, but were dying of parvovirus. Fred tested positive for Parvo and therefore was in need of a rescue to provide them lifesaving medical care. We gladly stepped up, and gave Barney all the medical care he desperately needed. Along with a lot of love and supportive care Fred now has fully recovered and is ready for a home of his own! Fred is a 2 month old Maltese/miniature poodle mixed breed who is full of happiness for his second chance at life! Fred is a young and happy puppy that will require a family up to the task of providing him the ample physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. Puppies require a family who can continue their basic training and socialization skills to grow into confident and happy adult dogs! All dogs require an adjustment period after adoption to decompress and acclimate to their new home, routine, housemates, and environment. Patience, consistency, and guidance are required to help them successfully transition and become a part of their new family!
