We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Mochi - she and her siblings all look so different - they are even a little different in size. Mommy is part of our last litter and looks a lot like Sorbet - she's about 7# at 12 weeks old. We were excited to get back the DNA results. They are mainly Chihuahua mixed with lots of other small breeds, including Poodle, Pomeranian and more. Because of her wee size, we think a home with children over 6 would be best. Currently in a foster home, they are learning all things puppy - create training, housebreaking, and more! Mochi is the largest in the litter, in a litter of wee babies. We are not sure what her coat will be like as she gets older and her adopter might need to include grooming in their budget. This puppy is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need more puppy shots at 16 weeks, including rabies. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in the Stanwood area. We will be at an event on March 14th at Farmstrong Brewing and will have the available puppies there for meet and greets. We don't do same day adoptions and you would need an approved app to take a puppy home. Adoption fee is $575. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
