About Lana
Lana is a pittie who’s looking for a place to finally call home. After being picked up as a stray and ending up in an overcrowded shelter, she struggled with anxiety and dropped to just 45 lbs. The shelter overwhelmed her, but once a foster family stepped in, Lana really revealed her softer side—playful, laid-back, and always wanting to be close to her people. She thrived in a home, soaking up affection, going for walks, and easily mingling with adults and strangers. She’s house trained, knows commands like sit, lie down, and kennel, and enjoys switching between active play and rest. Lana’s worked on managing leash reactivity with other dogs and responds to corrections, though she can get excited during play. Sadly, she had to return to the shelter and faced euthanasia again, but caring volunteers stepped in to spare her life. Now at a healthy weight and five years old, Lana is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She’s hoping her next chapter is with someone who won’t leave her behind. Lana gets along with other dogs (with slow introductions) and is good with children. Give Lana the home she deserves and she’ll give you her heart in return. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
