The shelter environment has been overwhelming for her, but with gentle support, she’s slowly learning to adjust. Hallsey can be reserved at first, especially in new situations, but once she feels safe, her loyal and affectionate nature shines through. She benefits from structure, reassurance, and patient guidance—and having Ellie by her side brings her clear comfort. Ellie Pit Mix | DOB: 1/1/2022 | ~3 years old Ellie is gentle, sensitive, and quietly affectionate. The sudden change in her life has been difficult, and she can be timid in unfamiliar environments. However, once trust is established, Ellie blossoms into a loving companion who forms deep bonds. She moves at her own pace and does best with calm, understanding humans who allow her the time she needs to feel secure. Together, Hallsey and Ellie balance each other beautifully. Their bond provides emotional grounding, reassurance, and confidence, something that will be essential as they transition into a new home. While they are wonderful together in daily life, play, and companionship, they do need to be fed separately. Like many dogs, they simply prefer having their own space at mealtime, nothing out of the ordinary, just good management and routine. A foster or adoptive home that can offer patience, consistency, and a calm environment would be ideal for these girls.
