About Ariel
Ariel finished a training program at the Northeastern New Mexico Correctional Facility, and she’s become something of a favorite thanks to her easy, upbeat attitude. She’s a black and white, medium-sized pit/terrier mix with a contagious energy. Ariel lights up when she gets attention—she’s in her element with people, happy to give and get hugs and kisses. Playing is her passion, and she’ll keep herself entertained with toys if no one’s around to join in. When it comes to other dogs, Ariel’s still learning her boundaries and pack manners. She sometimes gets too excited and forgets personal space, but with some patient guidance, she’s making progress. Tug toys and brief time outs help her refocus. Ariel already knows her commands and walks confidently on a leash. She’s ready for a home where she’ll be cherished and can keep growing into her best self. You’ll need a secure 5-foot fence to adopt her, and all medium or large dogs from this rescue get free basic training for a smoother transition. Ariel’s joyful spirit will stick with you.
