Apollo
AvailableApollo is a young, 2-year-old, neutered male medium-sized Pit Bull Terrier/mixed breed. He is house trained and has received all his vaccinations. Apollo is in Tucumcari, NM, and is looking for a home where his energetic personality and affectionate side can thrive.
About Apollo
Apollo graduated from a training program at the Northeastern New Mexico Correctional Facility, and his handler describes him as energetic and strong, but also deeply affectionate. He wakes up every morning looking for a good scratch, especially on his sides and haunches, and never says no to an ear rub. Curious and alert, Apollo likes to sniff around and take his time exploring, but loud noises and people rushing up to him put him on edge. He loves fetch, tug, and chewing on ropes, balls, and bones—plus, he has a weakness for Cheetos. Apollo gets along well with other dogs and prefers to steer clear of aggression. He relishes close contact like hugs, though he doesn't like yelling. Baths are a win in his book, but the uniform of officers or dog catchers makes him uneasy. While stubborn at times, he’s very smart, listens well, and enjoys testing boundaries in a playful way. Apollo is looking for a loving home ready for his energy and affectionate nature. Applicants will need a secure 5 ft fence for medium or large dogs. Free basic training is included to help Apollo transition smoothly. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
