About Mario
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Applications for Mario are currently being accepted only from those living within a 30-minute radius of Des Moines until he completes his vetting and neutering, scheduled for April 9, 2026. Mario and his siblings, a delightful group ranging in sizes and personalities, came to Iowa in late February from a city shelter in Oklahoma where they were surrendered at just five weeks old. After receiving their initial medical care, they found their way to Hope Animal Rescue to search for loving Iowa families. Mario is one of four boys in the litter, and they are all brimming with energy, affection, and playful antics. The whole group is ready to bring happiness and fun to their forever homes. If you’re interested in meeting Mario, be sure you’re within the required area before applying, and please note he will be ready for placement after his neuter. Ready to meet your new best friend?
