Meet Duke 🐾 Duke is a 3-year-old hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger sense of adventure. Originally adopted from us as a puppy, Duke is being returned due to his naturally curious nature. Unfortunately, his love for exploring proved too much for his previous family’s fencing (and doors) to contain. This handsome boy is highly intelligent and always thinking a few steps ahead. In fact, Duke is quite the escape artist and has been known to scale even very tall fences in pursuit of new sights and smells. Because of this, he’ll need a home that understands his adventurous spirit and can provide secure containment or supervised outdoor time. Despite his explorer tendencies, Duke is a wonderful family companion. He loves kids and enjoys being part of the action. Duke is also crate trained, which helps give him a safe and comfortable place to unwind. Duke would thrive with an active family that appreciates his intelligence and zest for life—someone who can channel his curiosity into walks, adventures, training, and enrichment.
