Hi! My name is Melanie! I'm a 5-6 year old female tricolor beagle. I'm the sweetest little girl! I'm quite loving & affectionate! I only weigh about 20 lbs.! I'm active! I like to play ball! And I love to be outside to sniff everything! I ride great in a car! I'm quite friendly! I'm great with other animals (except rabbits!). I should be ok living with an older child, like 10 & older. But it's important the child treat me with respect. I was rescued by a very nice person about 2 months ago. At night, I like to sleep in a dog bed next to my person's bed. Before my person rescued me, I was living outside in a pen for the past couple of years. I do need work on housetraining. I will circle before I potty, but I don't make any sounds. So you have to watch me. I did not have a fenced yard in my prior home, & so I was exercised on-leash. During the day, I would forget to go potty on the leash because I just get so excited with all the smells & things going on outside. At night though, I'm pretty good about doing my business when outside. I'm not crate trained. (I will pee in the crate). I'm living in a boarding kennel now with a doggie door to the outside kennel. So Nittany Beagle Rescue will see if that helps in terms of going outside. I really want to find my forever home! I really love people! Please think about making me part of your family!
