Hi! My name is Calypso & I'm a 4 to 5 year old female beagle mix. I'm such a sweet little girl! I'm easygoing & so loving! I'm also playful! I like to play fetch & tug-of-war! I love stuffed toys! I'm a sensitive soul. I can be timid when I first meet you. I've been raised with children, other dogs & cats! I'm great with them! I'm basically housetrained. I'm used to going outside about 4 times a day. I will go to the door, but my person needs to notice that I'm at the door. If you aren't watching, I'll have an accident in the house. My prior person tried to teach me to use a bell, but I never really got the hang if it. I'm crate trained. It's best if I'm crated when no one is home. Otherwise, I'll have an accident. I should be OK in the crate for up to 8 hours - but not more than that. I like to hang out on the furniture with my people. At night, I like to sleep in bed with my person, or on the floor in a dog bed. I do like my crate! If you leave the door open, I'll might go into it & hang out. I ride well in the car! The best way to get me to do something is to offer a treat. It's ok to use a firm voice every now & then - but I am sensitive so your voice shouldn't be loud.
