About Cooper
Cooper started out in tough shape at Devore Shelter in California, battling pneumonia before being flown across the country for a fresh start. Thanks to a dedicated foster in Tannersville, NY and quick veterinary care, he pulled through and is finally recovering someplace quiet and safe. Cooper is a gentle, sweet-natured German Shepherd who never lost hope, even during his roughest days. He’s still moving a bit cautiously on his left leg, but will receive a full evaluation soon to understand what’s going on and how to help him feel his best. Now, Cooper enjoys the warmth and calm of foster care while he settles in. He’s house trained and gets along well with other dogs, making him a strong candidate for families or homes with existing pets. Cooper has shown time and again how resilient and loving he is — all he needs now is a real home to match his heart. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
