About Sebastianbeloved Owner Passed Away

I write dog profiles for Twilight Tails. This poor dog's story came in as you see it below. Just makes me sad...cancer affects all of us but sometimes we forget about the dog's lives that cancer throws into a tailspin. Dogs like stucture and love as deeply as humans. Not completely understanding what's happening to them after their owner passes must be so difficult for them. Let's get Sebastian a great home, he deserves it. Mark Meet Sebastian Sebastian is a 3-year-old, 15-pound neutered Border Terrier x Parson Russell Terrier mix with the sweetest, most tender heart. This quiet little guy is just beginning to discover his bravery, and it’s been beautiful to watch. Sebastian was deeply loved by his former owner, who sadly passed away suddenly from cancer. During his final days, Sebastian brought him tremendous comfort and companionship. After his passing, his children reached out to Twilight Tails to make sure Sebastian would be safe and find the loving home he deserves. Because of everything he’s been through, loud noises and new people can still be a little scary for him. But in just two days with his foster family, he’s already made wonderful progress. He wants to be brave — and he’s proving that he absolutely can be. He does best in calm, quiet moments (early mornings are his favorite time to go outside and do his business), and while his house training needs a little polishing, he’s clearly trying. He’s not destructive at all, sleeps peacefully in his crate at night, and gets along great with both dogs and cats. Sebastian may take a little time to fully relax with you, but once he trusts you, you’ll see how smart and trainable he is. He’s especially motivated by tiny pieces of hot dog — apparently courage tastes delicious. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in helping a shy dog blossom, Sebastian might be your perfect match. He doesn’t need someone flashy — he needs someone patient, gentle, and willing to celebrate the small wins. And when he looks up at you with those hopeful eyes, you’ll know it’s worth it. __________________________________________________________________________________ The nitty gritty: Dog is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family. NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston. Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below. Adoption fee is $395 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport. Please complete the application on this link: https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8 Or email Sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport. We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
