Age: 2 years Weight: 12lbs Meet Freckles, the adorable loaf of uncooked dough! Rescued in Texas, she’s a quiet little lady who stares out at the world with a calm, cautious curiosity. She doesn’t really bark because she knows she can get whatever she wants when she stares at you with her beautiful amber puppy eyes. That said, it doesn’t take much to make her happy; give her food, treats, and a nice fluffy blankie and she’s happy to snooze all day! Once she’s comfy, she loves a good cuddle now and then. However, since she’s polite lady, she prefers to quietly sidle up next to you to telepathically let you know she’d like some affection. Freckles seems to love other dogs, but isn’t pushy or dominating with her attentions. She’s happy if they want to play (although she’s still trying to figure out how to play back - it’s hard learning to be a house dog!) but won’t get in their face if they don’t reciprocate interest. We haven’t introduced her to other animals (eg, cats, small creatures), but suspect she would take the same approach if properly introduced. She is currently thriving in a calm adult home, but given how easygoing she is, she might do well with children who know how to respect a dog’s space and approach them gently (caveat: she has not had the chance to meet children in her current foster home). She would likely enjoy the company of another dog in the house, but can do just as well as an only dog. Freckles is a moderate to low energy baby. She is crate trained and has no problem being left alone for a bit (girl likes her personal time). We are working on potty training, but suspect it is just a matter of getting her used to a regular schedule of outdoor time. She's such a great pup and will make whoever adopts her very lucky!
