About Loki
If you know huskies… you know Loki. Loki is expressive, dramatic, playful, opinionated, affectionate, and absolutely unforgettable. He originally entered the shelter after being surrendered for pulling on leash…a common husky trait that simply requires guidance, not a goodbye. While there, he caught kennel cough, briefly stopped eating from stress, and found himself on the euthanasia list. That chapter is closed. Today, Loki is fully recovered, healthy, thriving, and very much alive in a loving foster home. And now that he feels safe? His real personality shines. Loki absolutely loves other dogs. He thrives in a playful environment where he can wrestle, zoom, “talk,” and engage with canine siblings. He has that classic husky mentality; vocal, expressive, and occasionally dramatic in the best way possible. He can be wonderfully lazy, lounging upside down or splooted across the floor… and then five minutes later he’s herding his dog friends into a wrestling match. Because of his playful herding-style nips (which he uses appropriately with other dogs), we recommend a home without very small children. Older kids who understand dog play would be perfectly fine. Loki would do best with: • An active person or family • A home with another playful dog • Someone familiar with husky energy and personality • Structure, consistency, and engagement He bonds deeply with his people and wants to be part of the action. He is not a background dog, he is a personality. Loki isn’t “too much.” He’s just very much a husky. He is currently in a foster home that was always intended to be temporary, and we are actively searching for his long-term foster or forever family. He deserves stability, commitment, and someone who sees his spark as the gift that it is. If you are looking for a dog with character, humor, loyalty, and endless personality, Loki is ready.
