About Clay
Clay’s story is marked by resilience and the kindness he encountered along the way. He was found wandering the streets in Miami, unsure and alone, until a caring local stepped in to help. After a closed shelter turned him away, that same Good Samaritan drove him north, eventually bringing him to safety at a rescue in Palm Beach County. Settled in his foster home now, Clay has let his true personality come forward. He gravitates to his people, quietly loyal and happiest when relaxing in the same room as his humans. Clay bonds deeply, enjoys close company, and manages to be affectionate without being demanding or needy. Though Clay has some peripheral vision limitations and would do best in a home without small children, he adapts well once familiar with his surroundings. He gets along with other dogs but is equally happy as the sole focus of attention—his strongest connection is always with his person. Having faced uncertainty and transition, Clay is ready for a stable home where he can feel safe and cherished. If you’re seeking a steady, devoted, low-key companion, Clay fits the bill. He’s eager for a new chapter where predictability and belonging take the lead. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
